Oyster the Vizsla at Rock Creek Park

Oyster always sat when told and looks so proud.

When we arrived for Oyster’s dog photography session the ground was soaked from the rain. There was still light rain falling and a heavy mist.  When we asked the clients if they wanted to move forward with the session or reschedule they were glad to do the session anyway.  So the session began and some amazing images came from it.

We had an awesome time photographing Oyster the Vizsla.  He was full of energy and loved the toys we brought, but he also listened well and sat when told.  The session took place in Rock Creek Park in one of the open fields.

There was a ton of beautiful images created but the image below was actually one of our favorites.  For this image we had Oyster on a leash that Heather was holding.  She crouched down in the grass but the grass wasn’t thick enough to fully hide her, so there was some Photoshop work to be done.  Editing individual blades of grass definitely takes time.  It took almost 3 hours to edit Heather out of the image, but it was so worth it.

From this session the client choose one 16”x20” metal print and three 10" metal prints for their DC home. If you love these images consider booking us as your pet photographer!

One of our favorite images!

Doesn’t he look so regal?
